Your first fold
Pick the task you groaned about this week. That's this lesson. Fold it once, for real, then check in here.
Do this for real
Fold one real task this week: brief it, check it, time it
Choose one task that comes round every week and is cheap to get wrong: a summary, a first draft, a sort. Time it once the way you do it now. Brief the tool your company approved with the four questions: who it's for, what good looks like, what to leave out, one example. Keep customer and staff details out of it. Check what comes back: every number, every name and owner, anything it added, then read it as the person who gets it. Time the whole thing again, with the check included.
After you do it, you'll check in on
- Which task did you fold, and how long did it take before and after?
- What did your check catch?
- What will you change in the brief next time?
